Misconduct

The Cricket Regulator is responsible for ensuring that the regulations governing cricket are complied with and that any misconduct is dealt with effectively.

The Cricket Regulator is responsible for enforcing the regulations. These primarily apply to the professional game, however some apply to non-First Class and recreational cricket.

The Cricket Regulator works both proactively and reactively to prevent misconduct in the game, including providing education sessions for players and other participants. The Cricket Regulator investigates allegations it receives concerning misconduct both on- and off-field, and, where appropriate, charges participants it believes have breached the regulations, referring those cases to the Cricket Discipline Commission (the body that hears disciplinary cases in the professional domestic game in England and Wales).
